Columbian Cycling Team's New Colours.....

M just drew my attention to this.

Is it better or worse than this?

  1. Hoho, you nearly made me choke on my tea! Oh dear...no full length mirrors in the cycling world. That second picture is quite something and not in a good way.

    1. Do you think they realise before they put these things on how they're going to look on a podium afterwards? :o)

  2. Yes, I have seen both of those photos before, and they did nothing for my appreciation of sport. Other things, but not sport.

    1. I can't believe someone actually designed the ladies team to look like that. Evidently, someone with a good sense of humour! :o)

  6. Love it... had seen the photo of the ladies and had to look twice, thought they had no pants.. My husband is a keen cyclist and when he wears is padded shorts he looks like a lady with really bad Camel foot or Max Wall if you look at him from the side, nether a good look :)

    1. I thought they were pantless as well - it took me a few seconds to work out what was going in! M cycles too, but thankfully wears his lycra padded shorts under a floppier pair :o) xx

  7. Ha ha, I had seen the first one but not the second. Gosh they are bad aren't they. Hilarious but who designs them, someone must really of piddled them off!

    1. I guess all you can do is grit your teeth and grin if some plonker puts you in something like that! Although I like to think I would have refused to wear it, either that or insisted on a full on naked suit- the other team would have hopefully been so put-off I would have won easily :o)

  8. The men's leaves nothing to the imagination, does it? How to men manage all those dangly bits?

    1. They squash them, judging from the photo, and all at slightly different angles too...(not that I was looking) :o) xx

  9. I've been an Athlete, I've stood on the podium - That is just embarrassing - are the designers blind or suggestive. I would not stand on a podium with this freaky thing on. I am laughing at little red hen's comment about those "dangly bits" ?? I did read this in the news as well and find it not in good taste.

    1. I'm wondering how necessary the whole lycra thing is full stop? Presumably it's an anti-wind device. Not many folks look good in it, it being such a revealing and unforgiving fabric. I'm just glad I only wear mine for running so I'm not standing still in it and more importantly there are no photos!! :o)

  10. I'd seen the male photo before and thought that was bad enough, but the outfit for the women beggars belief! I'm so glad I'm too lazy and unfit for sports. ;-)

    1. It does seem an extraordinary one to go for by choice. Did they realise before hand, that's what I want to know? x

  11. Do you think this is deliberate....my word they look horrid, especially the blokes.
